Decontamination Super Centre – Greater London, 2021
A new state-of-the-art decontamination centre has been created to serve four separate NHS Trusts in the London area. The new development included sterilising equipment designed to cope with 15 million instruments p.a. As part of this project a fully duplexed, heat sanitisable Reverse Osmosis system was provided to generate 2000 l/h of treated water in duty/standby/assist mode. The treated water was supplied to two separate storage and distribution systems to serve Sterile Service washers / sterilisers and EDU endoscope reprocessors, with distribution flow rates of 12 m³/h and 5 m³/h respectively. System was installed and commissioned on time to the client’s satisfaction.
New Urology Department – Dublin, 2021
As part of a band new build, Whitewater was approached to help design, install and validate a reverse osmosis plant for a new urology department. Whitewater worked along site to meet their requirement and supplied an RO system capable of producing 300L/Hr and that carries out a hot disinfection at 85°C. Whitewater carries out quarterly maintenance on this unit ensuring patient safety is not compromised.
Endoscopy upgrade – Cork, 2021
Whitewater was contracted in to provide an upgrade to the current Reverse osmosis unit in a busy Endoscopy. The RO provided was to replace an existing RO unit that had provided many years of service to the department. The hospitals demand for RO had increased and a more reliable RO unit was required. A complete upgrade of the pre-treatment, pumps and RO unit was required to give site the valuable redundancy that is now the number one requirement across all hospitals.
